A telethon battle-of-the-bands against food insecurity happening live from the grand opening of Food Time with competitors Rat & Ratt, Andy & The Danny’s and Rad Gushue but with a dark twist ...

Humans need to eat food, and with the way our society is set up, the majority of people living in so-called “Canada” get the majority of their food from the grocery store. Unfortunately, also in so-called “Canada” the majority of grocery stores are owned by four conglomerates that control the market and love to get together and RUIN our lives by optimizing how much they can pocket off of our need to eat. Big Grocery is bleeding us dry with oppressive pricing and monopolistic practices causing food insecurity amongst over 20% of “Canadian”residents.

Thankfully- resistance is alive and well in St. John’s, Newfoundland. IWant2BeOnTV is live on the scene at “Food Time” - a new grocery start-up turning traditional shop models on their heads! At “Food Time” you can barter or trade time for groceries- as a means to combat traditional value systems. However, “Food Time” main investor - “Bobey’s”- has some combative ideas as to how to “advance” “Food Time”’s company (totally not their vibe). As a result - “Food Time” reached out to IWant2BeOnTV to host a Telethon … but during Lawnya Vawnya? When so many great bands are in town?! Why not a Telethon Battle of The Bands against Food Insecurity! With Rad Gushue, Rat and Ratt AND Andy and the Danny’s.

Food Fight was performed at The S.P.A.C.E. in St. John’s Newfoundland as a part of the Lawnya Vawnya Festival. It was broadcasted in collaboration with The Nickle Film Festival and LVTV with watch parties across Canada presented by :
